6 Inexpensive Ways to Relax this Summer

Get some alone time: Everyone needs ‘me-time’ without demands or interruptions. Take some time to be with yourself. Whether it’s sitting in a park, or in a movie theater taking some alone time will leave you feeling refreshed.
Do nothing: One of the best ways to restore your energy is to cancel your to-do list. Take a day or two off to do absolutely nothing. Indulge your lazy side by laying on the couch all day and binge-watching Netflix.
Try something new: Taking on a new hobby is one of the best ways to refresh yourself. It engages parts of your brain that you rarely use. Challenge yourself by trying a new pilates class on youtube, art class, or dance class, whichever makes you happy. I promise it will light a fire in your soul.
Organize your space: Get rid of things you don’t want or need. I know you’ve heard the saying, a cluttered space is a cluttered mind. De-cluttering your space can have a positive effect on your brain, leaving you with less anxiety and more room for peace. As Marie Kondo says, ask yourself “Does this bring me joy?” If the answer is ‘no’ get rid of it.
Go for a walk: I’m not saying you have to run, jog, or skip, I’m simply saying lace up those gym shoes, grab your keys and walk outside your front door. Walk at your favorite, park or trail, just get your body moving out in nature. If your lifestyle doesn’t allow you to walk outside, walk around your house or building. Try getting up from your desk as much as possible.
Pamper yourself: Take that bath, do your 10-step skincare routine, or download a free trial of a breathing/ meditation app. All of which can leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
